well since no-one ever reads, im just gonna make it a personal journal. spent half of the after noon hanging aroud with ana and rosie and harry.......it was really depressing cuz all ana said to me was 'looks like ur bike is stuffed' and 'bye phillip'. since no-one ever reads this, theres no point keeping it in the can. since i was rejected i have come to a very important realization. i am a complete and utter total loser. i think thats why she wont go out with me. i was fool to believe rosie. she is so way outa my league......but anyways, it doesnt matter since she isnt really talking to me anymore. anywho....thats all for today dear diary....

heartbreak.....yet again

well for the second time this year, i have been effectuvely rejected, and yet again i have to move on. i wont go into details, like who it was or how it happened......im just a bit depressed at the moment....well quite a bit actually......but ill be fine in a few days and ill just move on and begin yet another search. oh well.....maybe im just not destined to have my dreams of relationships fulfilled...

The weekend

Well this weekend has been pretty good, on friday night i went out with Meis, Nushka and Tawny and had coffee in manuka at my cafe. It was fun, but there was this guy and he really freaked me out and was lookingat us through the window.....freaky. it was fun but i had to go at 8:30, but then stayed up intil 2am watching late night tv....the next day was work work and more work. i went to the candle festival in nara with the same people, but also with Spife, who had just got back Japan, and that was fun....pretty much the saem happneed that night, watched movies till my eyes dropped out. On sunday, we won our cricket match by 7 runs, right down to the wire....yay first win of the season!!! yay....anyways.....more work so pretty dull weekend as far stuff is concerned anyways peace out and vote!

Well, RAVE day was pretty cool. We atched LOTR and finding nemo for the whole day which was cool. Tomorrow I have my first SCB practice, which should be inetersting. Pri says she will slap......dammit. So not much is happening. I want meis to feel better. I know i am. Well sort of. I would like to meet melissa though. Anyways. Things are good.....

The outcome

So, now we know the outcome of the Australian election. A Coalition win. It was not unexpected, but something that we did not expect was a majority government. The Coalition have power in the House of Represantives, and now with the advent of the Family First Party, it looks like now that the Libs will have control of the Senate as well. This may not be as bad a thing as many people might think, a majority is good to have once in a while instead of all this comprimising in the senate with the greens and the democrats. We will have a chance to pass actual laws, even though if it will be on the sale of telstra and unfair dismissals, among other things. Don't get me wrong, if forced with a gun to my head to vote at all and if I was 18, I would vote Labor before Liberal this election. My main reason for that is because Labor supports the student population of Australia. But I can't see myself enrolling to vote.
But the main problem for Labor now is that the reality of them get elected into the Government in 2007 have gone down because they did lose another 20 seats in the House of Reps. But one thing I hope John Howard does do before he retires in the next year(hopefully) is build a new lodge. As you all know, he lives primarily in Kirribilli house, and only occasionly in the Lodge. The Lodge is a very small house, it's smaller than my own house. Also, the Lodge was built wth the same intent that Old Parliament was built - it is temporary only, and someday a Goverrment has to build a new one. I think that Howard has to take it upon himself to build a new one, one that is big enough to entertain the world's dignitaries, simply because the Lodge's main purpose apart from providing the PM with a residence, is to represent Australia to it's international visitors.
Why did I think Labor lost? It's simple. They released their policies too late, they concentrated on health and education too much, they attacked Howard's credibility and Latham was only 10 months into the job. But hopefully they will have gained enough ground to fight for the 2007 election, and I say good luck to those suckers that are actually voting. I know I won't, I'll be out of the country by that time.

okay some people have been phoning about that love story, so let me say this: some of it WAS fictional, some of it wasn't. The details do not matter much - it is the message of moving on after heartbreak. That particular story didn't happen to me, it waas just a short story.
Can I just say a very quick thank you too all my friends out there - you guys are the best, you shape my life, and youa re where I get my ideas from! So thanks so much for everything - Kent, Alanna, Sam, Emily, Geoff, James, Nick, Pri, Zoe, Lucy, Karmel, Kranti and Kristen......without you guys, I wouldn't be the wonderful, handsome, funny and lovable guy I am today.

A love story

Yes it's that word - love. That is what I am going to write about today. Love is in some ways a fantastic thing, it brings tremendous happiness, it ensures the survival of all of us. But it can be a bad thing, bring depression, even lead to suicides. One thing I hate about love is it brings some bad songs along. Don't ask. I cannot explain love in enough words. So let me tell you a story of mine about love.
I don't believe in unnecessary dating. It is a bad thing. Dating for the fun of it is stupid. Enough chit chat let me get started. This story takes place in Canberra, Australia. There was this girl that I liked, and still like called...um...lets call her person A. I had grown to like person A quite a lot. Enough to ask her out. But of course I didn't have the guts. I resolved one day in the holidays to phone person A that night and ask her out. Sraight after I resolved to do this, person A called me, purely coincendental. We talked and talked for many minutes until I was about to ask her out when the worst happened. Person A asked for relationship advice. She asked me if she asked a friend of mine out, would he say yes. My heart was broken. Still, I pulled myself together to give her no clue that I liked her a lot.
This story may be fictional, this story may not be fictional. It may have happened yesterday, it could have happened last year. But this story has a message. Love plays tricks on you. You think you may be in love with someone, but they love someone else. Heartbreak is a way of life. But you must move on. Remember that there are plenty of fish in the sea, not just the one. Do not take this story seriously, it is just a tale.

What is the world coming to?

What is the world coming to? Natural and man induced events are happening all over the world causing many deaths. The Americas have been punded by tropical storms repeatedly, and so has South-East Asia. The recent floods in Haiti have claimed over 2000 lives and has left many rural towns without water. And still the poor Aussies are in the worst drought in over 100 years. Plus we had those nasty bushfires. What is the cause for all this. This has been possibly the worst year disaster-wise, so who is to blame? Those aussie coal miners? Those nasty CFCs? It may be global warming, but it may also be natural. Could the climate be changing drastically from our lifestyle or is it because of mother nature? Please add comments to give me your opinion.
Now to man-made stuff. I think it is very sad and I often wonder what has happened to the world when terrorists take children as hostages. Only children, with the exception of a few teachers. More children died in the school siege in Beslan than anybody died in all of the hurricanes, tropical storms and typhoons, and there has been a record number of those this year. The only natural disaster to claim more lives was the flood in Haiti. Then we have the ongoing violence in Iraq. Terrorist beheading innocent civilians. Don't forget the threat of nuclear war between India and Pakistan all because of Kashmir. Please add any comments because I would love to hear what you all think of my thoughts. What is the world coming to?

When IS the world going to end?

This is a big topic nowadays, in an ever growing religious world. I will explore a few topics, at least the ones I have heard. If you have heard others, then comment!
I'll start with the most common one. This theory is that one day the apocalypse will come, including the four horsemen, the sinners will be cast down to hell, the churchies to heaven. This is called the Armageddon. There is no indication to when this will happen, although some believed it would happen on new years eve 1999 ((c) End of days 1999). But it didn't. There was some speculation that it will indeed happen next year, because all those silly scribes got a few years out. This has one major flaw - we don't know when its going to happen. Which sucks.
There are theories that are space related. Some say that a meteor will come and hit the earth at some stage ((c) Armageddon 1998), and we can't stop it. There's the theory that we have a rogue sun system and that another sun will swing round one day and we wont be able to handle the heat because our sun and this other sun rotate around a common centre of gravity. And of course there's aliens. Do I really need to explain?
Then there's the silly ones. Dogs revolting. The racist ones. Negroes and Asians revolting. The downright stupid ones. The world will not end.
The fact is that the world WILL end. One way or another it will end ((c) Matrix Revolutions 2003). If none of the above happens, then when the sun starts dying, it will expand and swallow the earth, and we will not be able to live there anymore. We'll just move to mars. But that won't be for another couple of billion years.
But don't be afraid - just because the world ends doesn't mean our lives do. We'll just have to adjust. So comment and tell me what you think. Do you have any theories? Don't ask me what I believe or don't believe - I'm undecided.

Ok, I'm obviously losing a lot of fans due to my controversial support of Mark Latham. Hopefully by the end of the week, I will have posted why I support possibly the Next prime Minister of Australia.
